Dr. Michele Lewis is a board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and has a specialty interest in pancreatic disease and genetics.

Dr. Lewis completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1993. She completed residency in internal medicine at the University of Florida in 1996 and was selected as a chief resident. She completed her fellowship in Gastroenterology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and her Master's degree in medical science from Harvard in 2000. She has been a faculty member at Mayo Clinic Florida in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology since 2000.

Dr. Lewis is also active in medical education and is currently the Associate Dean of Admissions for the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine — Florida. She is a former program director of the internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic Florida, and was awarded the Distinguished Educator Award at Mayo Clinic.
