Methylated DNA biomarkers in archived pancreatic juice show promise for detecting pancreatic cancer and distinguishing it from pancreatitis. A year-long pilot study aims to validate the findings and assess reproducibility of the juice collection methods.

Biomarkers with high sensitivity and specificity are needed to identify Barrett's esophagus patients at high risk of progression to esophageal adenocarcinoma. In studies, chromosomal instability has proved to have both.
