Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Diarrhea
  2. loss of appetite
  3. muscle cramps
  4. nausea
  5. trouble in sleeping
  6. unusual tiredness or weakness
  7. vomiting

Less common

  1. Abnormal dreams
  2. constipation
  3. dizziness
  4. drowsiness
  5. fainting
  6. frequent urination
  7. headache
  8. joint pain, stiffness, or swelling
  9. mental depression
  10. pain
  11. unusual bleeding or bruising
  12. weight loss

Rare

  1. Black, tarry stools
  2. bloating
  3. bloody or cloudy urine
  4. blurred vision
  5. burning, prickling, or tingling sensations
  6. cataract
  7. chills
  8. clumsiness or unsteadiness
  9. confusion
  10. cough
  11. decreased urination
  12. difficult or painful urination
  13. dryness of mouth
  14. eye irritation
  15. fever
  16. flushing of skin
  17. frequent urge to urinate
  18. high or low blood pressure
  19. hives
  20. hot flashes
  21. increase in sexual desire or performance
  22. increased heart rate and breathing
  23. increased sweating
  24. increased urge to urinate during the night
  25. irregular heartbeat
  26. itching
  27. loss of bladder control
  28. loss of bowel control
  29. mood or mental changes, including abnormal crying, aggression, agitation, delusions, irritability, nervousness, or restlessness
  30. nasal congestion
  31. pain in chest, upper stomach, or throat
  32. problems with speech
  33. runny nose
  34. severe thirst
  35. shortness of breath
  36. sneezing
  37. sore throat
  38. sunken eyes
  39. tightness in chest
  40. tremor
  41. troubled breathing
  42. wheezing
  43. wrinkled skin

Incidence not known

  1. Back, leg, or stomach pains
  2. bleeding gums
  3. chest pain or discomfort
  4. coma
  5. convulsions
  6. dark urine
  7. difficulty breathing
  8. fast or irregular heartbeat
  9. fatigue
  10. general body swelling
  11. general tiredness and weakness
  12. high fever
  13. increased thirst
  14. indigestion
  15. light-colored stools
  16. muscle pain or cramps
  17. nausea and vomiting
  18. nosebleeds
  19. pains in stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
  20. pale skin
  21. rash
  22. seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there
  23. seizures
  24. severe muscle stiffness
  25. severe nausea
  26. slow or irregular heartbeat
  27. stomach pain
  28. sweating
  29. swelling of face, ankles, or hands
  30. tiredness
  31. unusually pale skin
  32. upper right abdominal or stomach pain
  33. yellow eyes and skin

Symptoms of overdose

  1. Convulsions (seizures)
  2. increased sweating
  3. increased watering of mouth
  4. increasing muscle weakness
  5. low blood pressure
  6. severe nausea
  7. severe vomiting
  8. slow heartbeat
  9. troubled breathing

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
