Left untreated, bipolar disorder can result in serious problems that affect every area of your life. These can include:

  • Problems related to substance and alcohol abuse
  • Legal problems
  • Financial problems
  • Relationship troubles
  • Isolation and loneliness
  • Poor work or school performance
  • Frequent absences from work or school
  • Suicide
