Trans fat: A double whammy

When it comes to fat, trans fat might be the worst because of its double-barreled impact on your cholesterol levels. Trans fat lowers your good cholesterol and raises your bad cholesterol. Watch for trans fat by reading product labels. Keep an eye out for the phrase "partially hydrogenated." It's a giveaway that food contains some trans fat.
