Are you a step ahead of athlete's foot?

By Mayo Clinic staff

The fungus that causes athlete's foot thrives in a warm, dark, wet environment. To keep your feet dry, follow these tips: 1. Go barefoot at home. 2. Wear sandals, leather shoes or athletic styles with ventilation holes that allow your feet to breathe. 3. If your feet sweat, change your socks twice a day. 4. Wear waterproof sandals or shoes around public pools, showers and locker rooms.
