Buying prescription drugs online?

By Mayo Clinic staff

Ordering prescription drugs online can save you time and sometimes even money, but you must be careful. When you're ordering drugs online, remember simple do's and don'ts. 1. Consult your doctor first. 2. Use a licensed pharmacy that offers access to a registered pharmacist. 3. Read the pharmacy's privacy and security policies. 4. Don't use a site that bypasses prescriptions. 5. Steer clear of sites that don't provide a street address and phone number. 6. When you get the medication, make sure it matches your prescription.
