Put a leash on anger
By Mayo Clinic staff
Expressed appropriately, anger can be healthy. But if your blood boils after minor irritations or you're constantly seething, you may need to get your anger under control. Out-of-control anger can be destructive, leading to problems in your relationships, at work, in your enjoyment of life and with your health. To get your anger under control:, follow these steps: 1. Think carefully before you say anything. 2. Take a timeout from the situation. 3. Practice relaxation skills. 4. Use humor to defuse tensions. It may be challenging at first, but with time and effort, healthy responses may come naturally
