Small hiatal hernias
Most small hiatal hernias cause no signs or symptoms.

Large hiatal hernias
Larger hiatal hernias can cause signs and symptoms such as:

  • Heartburn
  • Belching
  • Chest pain
  • Nausea

When to see a doctor
