- Bleeding
- Infection
- Pain
- Swelling (lymphedema) in your arm
- Formation of hard scar tissue at the surgical site
- Shoulder pain and stiffness
- Numbness, particularly under your arm, from lymph node removal
- Buildup of blood in the surgical site (hematoma)
