Fine needle aspiration

Fine-needle aspiration is a type of needle biopsy. During fine-needle biopsy, a thin needle is inserted into the area of suspicion and cells are extracted for laboratory testing. Here, a biopsy is being done to diagnose a thyroid nodule.
