Nesbit plication

Illustration of Nesbit plication procedure

Nesbit plication is one type of procedure to shorten the side of the penis that doesn't have scar tissue. An injection of a saltwater solution delivers a drug to create an erection. (1) The outer skin of the penis is pulled back. (2) The penis is straightened, and the excess tissue on what had been the outer side of the curve is either removed or cinched together. (3) The penis is usually somewhat shorter after this procedure.
