Female reproductive system

Illustration of the female reproductive system

The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix and vagina make up the female reproductive system. During oophorectomy both ovaries are surgically removed. In women with a high risk of breast cancer and ovarian cancer, the fallopian tubes are usually removed at the same time.
