Postpartum recovery: Week 9

At nine weeks, your baby will gradually be awake for longer periods of time. He or she might also start sleeping for five to six hours at a stretch at night. Your baby is likely becoming more aware of his or her hands and fingers — and might try to play with them. Don't worry if your baby doesn't follow an exact timetable of development milestones. However, if you have any questions or concerns about your baby's growth and development, talk to your baby's doctor.
