Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Dizziness
  2. fainting
  3. fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat

Less common

  1. Bluish color
  2. blurred vision
  3. changes in skin color
  4. chest pain or discomfort
  5. chest tightness or heaviness
  6. confusion
  7. decreased urine output
  8. dilated neck veins
  9. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position suddenly
  10. extreme fatigue
  11. fever
  12. headache
  13. heart stops
  14. irregular breathing
  15. nausea
  16. nervousness
  17. no breathing
  18. no pulse or blood pressure
  19. pain or discomfort in arms, jaw, back or neck
  20. pain, tenderness, swelling of foot or leg
  21. pounding in the ears
  22. shortness of breath
  23. sweating
  24. swelling of face, fingers, feet, or lower legs
  25. troubled breathing
  26. unconscious
  27. unusual tiredness or weakness
  28. vomiting
  29. weight gain
  30. wheezing

Symptoms of overdose

  1. Cold clammy skin
  2. increased bowel movements
  3. irritability
  4. lightheadedness
  5. menstrual changes
  6. shakiness in legs, arms, hands, feet
  7. trembling or shaking of hands or feet
  8. weak pulse

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Twitching
