Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

  1. Chest pain
  2. constipation
  3. depressed mood
  4. difficulty in moving
  5. discouragement
  6. dryness of the eye
  7. dry skin and hair
  8. fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse
  9. fear, nervousness
  10. feeling cold
  11. feeling sad or empty
  12. fever
  13. headache
  14. hives or welts
  15. hoarseness or husky voice
  16. increased sweating
  17. increased weight
  18. increase in blood pressure
  19. irritability
  20. irritation
  21. itching skin
  22. joint pain, stiffness or swelling
  23. lack of appetite
  24. lack or loss of strength
  25. loss of interest or pleasure
  26. muscle aching or cramping
  27. muscle pain or stiffness
  28. nausea
  29. redness of skin
  30. shakiness in legs, arms, hands, feet
  31. shortness of breath
  32. skin rash
  33. sleeplessness
  34. slowed heartbeat
  35. sluggishness
  36. swelling of eyelids, face, lips, hands, or feet
  37. swollen joints
  38. tightness in chest
  39. tiredness
  40. trembling or shaking of hands or feet
  41. trouble concentrating
  42. troubled breathing or swallowing
  43. trouble sleeping
  44. unable to sleep
  45. unusual tiredness or weakness
  46. weight gain
  47. wheezing

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:
