Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Burning, itching, and pain in hairy areas, pus at the root of hair
  2. painful blisters on the trunk of the body

Incidence not known

  1. Anxiety
  2. black, tarry stools
  3. chest pain, discomfort, or tightness
  4. confusion
  5. cough or hoarseness
  6. coughing or spitting up blood
  7. difficulty breathing
  8. difficulty in speaking
  9. dizziness or lightheadedness
  10. double vision
  11. fainting
  12. fast heartbeat
  13. fever or chills
  14. general feeling of illness
  15. headache
  16. hives, itching, skin rash
  17. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  18. inability to speak
  19. lower back or side pain
  20. muscle aches
  21. nausea
  22. night sweats
  23. pain, redness, or swelling in the arm or leg
  24. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  25. painful or difficult urination
  26. persistent non-healing sore
  27. pink growth
  28. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  29. reddish patch or irritated area
  30. shiny bump
  31. slow speech
  32. sore throat
  33. sudden high fever or low grade fever for months
  34. sweating
  35. swollen glands
  36. tenderness, pain, swelling, warmth, skin discoloration, and prominent superficial veins over the affected area
  37. unusual tiredness or weakness
  38. vomiting
  39. weight loss
  40. white, yellow, or waxy scar-like area
  41. yellow skin and eyes

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Diarrhea

Less common

  1. Blemishes on the skin
  2. pimples
  3. swelling or inflammation of the mouth
