Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Body aches or pain
  2. chest tightness
  3. chills
  4. cough
  5. cough producing mucus
  6. difficulty with breathing
  7. ear congestion
  8. fever
  9. headache
  10. hoarseness
  11. itching of the vagina or genitals
  12. loss of voice
  13. lower back or side pain
  14. painful or difficult urination
  15. runny or stuffy nose
  16. sneezing
  17. sore throat
  18. stomach pain
  19. thick, white vaginal discharge with mild or no odor
  20. unusual tiredness or weakness

Less common

  1. Bladder pain
  2. bloody or cloudy urine
  3. burning feeling while urinating
  4. diarrhea
  5. depression
  6. dizziness
  7. frequent urge to urinate
  8. itching skin
  9. lower back or side pain
  10. pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones
  11. vomiting

Rare

  1. Blurred or loss of vision
  2. clear or bloody discharge from the nipple
  3. confusion
  4. dimpling of the breast skin
  5. disturbed color perception
  6. double vision
  7. halos around lights
  8. inverted nipple
  9. itching, pain, redness, swelling, tenderness, or warmth on the skin
  10. lump in the breast or under the arm
  11. night blindness
  12. overbright appearance of lights
  13. persistent crusting or scaling of the nipple
  14. redness or swelling of the breast
  15. seizures
  16. sore on the skin of the breast that does not heal
  17. tunnel vision

Incidence not known

  1. Chest pain
  2. difficulty with swallowing
  3. dry cough
  4. fast heartbeat
  5. general feeling of tiredness or weakness
  6. hives or welts, skin rash
  7. large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or genitals
  8. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  9. rapid breathing
  10. redness of the skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Muscle aches

Less common

  1. Back pain
  2. bleeding, blistering, burning, coldness, discoloration of the skin, feeling of pressure, hives, infection, inflammation, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, rash, redness, scarring, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, tingling, ulceration, or warmth at the injection site
  3. difficulty with moving
  4. joint pain or swelling
  5. muscle cramps, pain, or stiffness

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
