Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Anxiety
  2. blurred vision
  3. body aches or pain
  4. chills
  5. cold sweat
  6. confusion
  7. cool, pale skin
  8. cough
  9. depression
  10. difficulty breathing
  11. dizziness
  12. ear congestion
  13. fast heartbeat
  14. fever
  15. headache
  16. increased hunger
  17. loss of consciousness
  18. loss of voice
  19. muscle aches
  20. nausea
  21. nervousness
  22. nightmares
  23. runny or stuffy nose
  24. seizures
  25. shakiness
  26. slurred speech
  27. sneezing
  28. sore throat
  29. unusual tiredness or weakness

Rare

  1. Bloating or swelling of the face, arms, hands, lower legs, or feet
  2. chest tightness
  3. difficulty swallowing
  4. dizziness, fainting, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  5. fast, weak pulse
  6. hives, itching, skin rash
  7. hoarseness
  8. irritation
  9. joint pain, stiffness, or swelling
  10. large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or genitals
  11. noisy breathing
  12. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  13. redistribution or accumulation of body fat
  14. redness of the skin
  15. sweating
  16. thickening of the skin at the injection site
  17. tingling of the hands or feet
  18. unusual weight gain or loss

Incidence not known

  1. Decreased urine
  2. dry mouth
  3. irregular heartbeat
  4. increased thirst
  5. loss of appetite
  6. mood changes
  7. muscle pain or cramps
  8. numbness or tingling in the hands, feet, or lips
  9. reddish brown itchy, thick, and scaly patches with small bumps at the injection site
  10. vomiting

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

  1. Redness, swelling, bruising, rash, or itching at the injection site
