Sotagliflozin is used to lower the risk of cardiovascular death, hospitalization for heart failure, and urgent visits to the doctor in patients with heart failure when the heart is weak and cannot pump enough blood to the rest of the body, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, or other cardiovascular risk factors.
