At the Transgender and Intersex Specialty Care Clinic (TISCC), our mission is to provide specialty, multidisciplinary, person-affirming care for transgender, gender diverse and intersex individuals in a safe and respectful environment, while optimizing physical, emotional, and social health. The TISCC is a premier clinic serving transgender, gender diverse and intersex individuals by providing the Mayo Clinic model of integrated care, promoting better health for patients and advancing the science of transgender and intersex medicine. We are a group of gender-affirming providers who want to support you during your gender journey. We work as a multidisciplinary team, providing medical, psychosocial, surgical expertise all under one roof. The clinic follows the standards of care of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), which indicates our providers follow professional consensus related to transgender health, and have a working understanding of the multidisciplinary care team and how to translate the standards of care into clinical practice. In addition, we follow Endocrine Society guidelines on transgender health. The TISCC offers special expertise and experience treating related conditions such as gender dysphoria and others.
