Research

Research at Mayo Clinic in diabetic nephropathy includes developing new diagnostic and treatment tools, such as oral medicines that may help stop or delay the decline of kidney function or even improve it.

Mayo Clinic also heads the Mayo Nephrology Collaborative Group, a national consortium of doctors who specialize in kidney diseases (nephrologists). This group brings together clinicians and scientists to develop and conduct prospective studies aimed at treating people with kidney disease.
