Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

Rare

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. back or leg pain
  3. black or bloody vomit
  4. fever
  5. headache (severe)
  6. increase or decrease in amount of urine
  7. loss of appetite
  8. nausea (severe)
  9. pale skin
  10. unusual tiredness or weakness
  11. weakness of wrist and fingers
  12. weight loss (unusual)
  13. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Shivering or trembling

Less common

  1. Blurred or double vision or other vision problems
  2. dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint
  3. drowsiness
  4. headache
  5. mood or mental changes
  6. nausea (mild) or vomiting
  7. nightmares or unusual dreams

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
