Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Rare

  1. Chest tightness
  2. feeling of warmth, redness of the face, neck, arms and occasionally, upper chest
  3. large, hive-like swelling on face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
  4. shortness of breath, difficult or labored breathing

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Vomiting

Less common

  1. Back pain
  2. body aches or pain
  3. chills
  4. coughing
  5. diarrhea
  6. difficulty with moving
  7. dizziness
  8. ear congestion
  9. earache
  10. fever
  11. headache
  12. joint pain
  13. loss of voice
  14. muscle aching or cramping
  15. muscle pains or stiffness
  16. nasal congestion
  17. nausea
  18. pain in arms or legs
  19. pain or tenderness around eyes or cheekbones
  20. painful menstrual bleeding
  21. redness or swelling in ear
  22. ringing or buzzing in ears
  23. runny or stuffy nose
  24. sleepiness or unusual drowsiness
  25. sneezing
  26. sore throat
  27. stomach upset
  28. swollen joints
  29. unusual feeling of tiredness or weakness
  30. viral infection (such as cold and flu)

Rare

  1. Nervousness
  2. rash
  3. sleeplessness
  4. terrifying dreams
  5. trouble sleeping
