Kitty Y. Wu, M.D., MSc, FRCSC, is a hand and reconstructive surgeon with a specific interest in the functional reconstruction of upper extremity injuries. Her diverse training background, in the fields of Plastic, Orthopedic, and Neurosurgery, allows her to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex clinical problems from a unique perspective. Her specific areas of interest include:

  • Upper extremity reconstruction in adult and pediatric patients with cervical spinal cord injuries
  • Surgical management of spasticity following spinal cord or brain injuries (stroke, cerebral palsy, trauma related)
  • Traumatic upper and lower extremity injuries requiring soft tissue, bone, tendon, and nerve reconstruction
  • Expertise in wrist reconstruction for patients with arthritis, non-union/mal-union, and ligamentous injuries

Dr. Wu is a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS), American Society for Peripheral Nerve Surgery (ASPN), American College of Surgeons (ACS), and Canadian Society for Plastic Surgery (CSPS). She is an active member of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Canada.
